We are seeking a dedicated Children's Residential Support Worker to join an expanding organisation.

**Role Description**

As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in providing care, support, and guidance to children and young people within the residential service. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will create a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where children can thrive and reach their full potential.

THIS IS A FULL TIME ROLE, 39 HOURS PER WEEK, INCLUDING LONG DAYS, SLEEP INS AND WEEKENDS

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide day-to-day care and support to children and young people within the residential service.
  • Support children in their daily activities, promoting independence and personal development.
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with children, offering emotional support and encouragement.
  • Implement care plans and strategies tailored to the individual needs of each child, ensuring their well-being and safety.
  • Assist with household tasks and chores, including meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry.
  • Participate in recreational and leisure activities with children, promoting social interaction and engagement.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the care and progress of children, following relevant policies and procedures.

**Requirements**

  • Previous experience working with children and young people in a similar role within a residential setting.
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of children and young people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with children and colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to ensure the highest standard of care.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including sleep-ins, weekends, and holidays.
  • Commitment to promoting the welfare and well-being of children and young people.
  • FULL UK DRIVING LICENCE REQUIRED
