Location: Wisbech

Salary: £25,500 - £26,000 (DOE) per annum plus sleep in allowance

Hours: 39 hours per week, including long days and sleep in shifts

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people? Do you have the qualifications and experience to support children in residential care settings?

We are currently looking for experienced Residential Support Workers to join our client's team, providing care and support to young people with Emotional and Behavioural Disorders, helping them achieve positive outcomes in a safe and therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide emotional, physical, and therapeutic support to children and young people in a residential setting.
  • Engage with children in daily activities, helping to develop life skills, personal care, and social interactions.
  • Work as part of a team to create a nurturing environment, adhering to care plans and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage challenging behaviours and de-escalate situations using therapeutic techniques.

Essential Criteria - Do You Meet These?

  • Minimum 1 years of experience in a children's residential care setting or similar.
  • Experience working with children with emotional, behavioural, or special educational needs.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Ability to work shifts, including sleep-ins and weekends.

Desirable Criteria

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent.
  • Experience with therapeutic care models (e.g., PACE, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention).
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices and regulations within children's residential care.
  • First aid and physical intervention training (preferred but not essential).
