Role Description:

Job Opportunity: Residential Care Team Manager

Are you ready to take the next step into management or seeking a new challenge in leading a team within the residential care sector? We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our management group of nine.

As a Team Manager, you will lead and inspire your team of carers, ensuring the highest standards of care for the children in your charge. In return, you will have the support of experienced managers and senior managers to help you achieve your goals and those of the children you care for.

Key Responsibilities:

You will manage two homes and be responsible for a team of up to 12 people. You will be working as part of management team to ensure that the highest quality care is delivered to children within our care. We will want you to provide a stable and secure environment for vulnerable, challenging children and young people from a background of trauma and neglect to enable them to thrive.

To lead, motivate, supervise, coach, develop and support a team of staff to set, achieve and maintain a high standard of care. You need to identify individual training and development needs through observation of practice, undertake staff appraisals and ensure that training and development plans are monitored and met.

What you'll need

  • A genuine desire to change a child's life
  • NVQ Lvel 5 Leadership and Management
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Children and Young People's workforce
  • At least 2 years' experience relevant to residential child care within the last 5 years
  • At least 1 years' experience supervising and managing a staff team
  • If not already obtained, a willingness to work towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Care
