Role: Registered Manager - OFSTED

Location: Orpington

Hours: Full Time

Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 dependent on experience

Leader Group have partnered with an amazing organisation seeking an experienced Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, or Team Leader ready to step up into a Registered Manager role for a brand-new children's residential home in Orpington.

This is a 3-bed home supporting children and young people aged 8-17 with EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) and mild Learning Disabilities.

About the home:

  • 1st home of its kind with a strong and supportive team already in place, including an RI, DM, and support staff.
  • RI comes from a consultancy service provider, ensuring high-quality standards and guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for children and young people.
  • Lead, mentor, and support staff, including the Deputy Manager and Support Workers, fostering a positive team culture.
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and standards, striving for a Good or Outstanding rating.
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to each child's needs, focusing on promoting their emotional, physical, and social development.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring financial stability of the home.
  • Work closely with the Director, who is a qualified General Practice Nurse, and the Responsible Individual (RI) from a consultancy service provider.
  • Build strong relationships with external agencies, social workers, and families to ensure the best outcomes for the children in your care.
  • Take responsibility for the home's registration with Ofsted and ensure that all policies, procedures, and paperwork are up to date.

Requirements:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards it).
  • At least 2 years of management experience in a children's residential setting (Deputy Manager or Team Leader experience will be considered).
  • A proven track record of achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratings.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and Children's Home Regulations 2015, including the Quality Standards.
  • Passion for improving the lives of vulnerable children and young people.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with staff, children, families, and external agencies.
