Are you a compassionate, dedicated individual with experience in healthcare? We're seeking a Medication-Trained Senior Care Assistant to join our client's team in Bradford, where you'll make a genuine difference in the lives of our residents.
Location - Bradford
Rate - £30,000 / Annum - £33,000 / Annum
Job Overview
As a Senior Care Assistant, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, personalised care that fosters a true sense of security, dignity, and independence. You'll connect with residents and their families to ensure each person's needs are met, and you'll lead by example for the Health Care Assistant team, maintaining the highest care standards.
In addition to your leadership role, you'll be responsible for administering medication, maintaining accurate records, and building strong relationships within the team.
Responsibilities & Duties
  • Leadership: Supervise and support all care staff on your shift, ensuring best practices.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medication to residents when required.
  • Resident Care: Assist residents with daily personal care, support nutrition, and promote independence.
  • Engagement: Facilitate social and recreational activities, enhancing residents' quality of life.
  • Safety & Security: Maintain a secure environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Documentation: Complete all necessary paperwork and records promptly and accurately.
  • Safeguarding: Identify and report any safeguarding concerns immediately.
  • Health Monitoring: Observe and record residents' physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes to senior staff.
  • Medical Support: Accompany residents to medical appointments as needed.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Senior Carer or similar role in a care home setting
  • Must be trained in medication administration
  • Strong leadership skills and a commitment to quality care
  • Ability to build compassionate relationships with residents and staff
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Level 3 in Health and Social Care
