Are you a qualified Social Worker with a passion for leadership and making a positive impact on children's lives? We are currently seeking a dedicated individual with current Social Work England registration and prior leadership experience to join one of our client's teams at Northampton.

As a Social Work Team Manager, you will provide essential leadership to a dynamic team comprising an Advanced Practitioner, Social Workers, Senior Social Workers, and Newly Qualified Social Workers. Your primary responsibility will be to allocate and prioritise workloads effectively, ensuring the welfare of children remains paramount while nurturing your team's professional growth to deliver effective and efficient services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage your team to meet objectives and achieve performance targets.
  • Oversee children's support and safeguarding activities, including child protection plans, child-in-need plans, and legal proceedings.
  • Collaborate with multi-agency partners to conduct assessments and provide intensive, direct interventions tailored to meet complex needs and manage associated risks.
  • Advocate for young people's well-being, ensuring they receive adequate support, housing, and opportunities for education, training, or employment.

About You:

  • Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
  • Ideally possess a Level 5 NVQ Management qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop a team, addressing performance issues through support and coaching.
  • Previous experience in budgetary control and strong ICT skills.
  • Ability to represent the service at a senior level when necessary.
