Registered Manager - 4-Bed EBD & Complex Needs Home

Location: Lewisham
Salary: £60,000 per annum
Home: 4-bed children's residential home (EBD & Complex Needs)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a 4-bed residential home in South East London. This home will provide a safe, therapeutic, and structured environment for children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and Complex Needs.

The organisation has been established for a number of years, with an excellent standing in supporting young people, with this provision being their first foray in to the residential care of children.

As the Registered Manager, you will be instrumental in leading the service, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations, and delivering the highest standards of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operational setup of the home, ensuring full Ofsted compliance
  • Lead and manage a dedicated staff team, ensuring a positive and nurturing environment
  • Develop and implement personalised care plans to meet the needs of the young people
  • Ensure that safeguarding protocols are strictly followed and that the home remains a place of safety and stability
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external agencies, social workers, and families
  • Effectively manage staffing, budgeting, and operational aspects of the home

Essential Requirements:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Experience as a Registered Manager in a children's residential setting
  • Proven track record of leading an Ofsted inspection, achieving at least a Good or Outstanding rating
  • Experience supporting female children and young people with EBD and Complex Needs
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes Regulations 2015, and the Quality Standards
  • Excellent safeguarding knowledge and ability to manage risk assessments
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager to lead an EBD home and make a lasting impact in the lives of young people.
