Location - Barnsley
Salary - £41,540.76 per annum (OTE up to £44,740.76 with bonuses)
Contract Type - Full-time, Permanent (39 hours/week)

Key Responsibilities
- Take full accountability for the day-to-day management of the 2-bed home, ensuring high-quality care delivery.
- Lead and motivate a small team to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, and social needs of young people.
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted SCIFF standards, relevant legislation, and organisational policies.
- Drive innovation by developing new approaches to care that promote independence and well-being.
- Manage budgets, monitor financial transactions, and maintain the home's physical resources.
- Oversee admissions, discharges, and accurate record-keeping for residents and staff.
- Handle on-call responsibilities and occasional sleep-in shifts to support rota shortfalls.
- Collaborate with external agencies, professionals, and commissioners to enhance care provision.
- Chair internal and external meetings, preparing concise reports to sustain quality standards.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Deputy Manager ready to advance or a Registered Manager in a children's home setting.
- Strong background in leading teams and supporting vulnerable young people with diverse needs.
- Comprehensive understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and legislation (e.g., Ofsted SCIFF, Health & Safety).
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it with support).
- Full UK driving licence and access to appropriate transport.
- Flexibility to manage on-call duties and sleep-ins as required.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to produce evaluative reports.
- Emotional resilience to handle challenging behaviours and maintain professional boundaries.
